Reflexivity is the process by which we systematically examine the sources of our beliefs, assumptions and actions, and discover areas of untapped potential for our writing. In this workshop, we will discuss how building a practice of reflexivity can help graduate students find gaps in their research, approach problems with fresh perspectives and develop resilient writing habits. Students attending this workshop will be introduced to different reflexive methods, questions that can target specific areas of reflexive thought and a group exercise to jump-start their own reflexive journey.
