Upcoming 4-hour Computational Neuroscience Workshop!
Join us on Friday, June 27th at 2PM in the Psychology Department Building, Room A204 for a workshop led by the Pena Lab from the Stiles Nicholson Brain Institute! Neuroscience major is not required! In fact, we welcome students from various majors including (but not limited to): Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Biomath, Psychology, and Biomedical Engineering! All majors are welcome as long as those interested have filled out the new the membership registration form on our website, and RSVP to our event on NoleCentral! GRiP Adapt-a-Thon: Making Toys More Accessible for Hand Camp!
GRiP is excited to host Adapt-a-Thon, a hands-on event where we modify toys to improve accessibility for children with upper limb differences. Many commercially available toys rely on fine motor skills or complex movements, making them difficult for some children to use. Our goal is to adapt these toys by adding larger buttons, alternative control methods, or custom features, ensuring that every child can enjoy them regardless of their physical abilities. Event Details: Date: Saturday, February 22, 2025 Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM Location: FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, Room B210 This event is open to all majors—no skills or experience required! Whether you're passionate about engineering, adaptive technology, or community service, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with soldering, circuitry, and instrumentation while making a tangible impact.
